Expendables 4 Review

Expendables 4, the fourth and final installment in the mercenary-based action series, has finally hit theaters.

Star-Studded Cast

Expendables 4 stars Jason Statham, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Randy Couture, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, Andy Garcia, and Sylvester Stallone.

Dangerous Mission

The Expendables team is hired to rescue a kidnapped scientist from a ruthless arms dealer. However, the mission is not as simple as it seems, and the team soon finds themselves caught up in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Explosive Action

Expendables 4 is packed with explosive action sequences, including helicopter chases, gunfights, and hand-to-hand combat.

Similarity to Meg 2: The Trench

One of the biggest drawbacks of Expendables 4 is its similarity to Meg 2: The Trench. The two films have near-identical climaxes, with Jason Statham battling a giant sea creature in the same way.

Predictable Plot

Another drawback of Expendables 4 is its predictability. The plot is essentially a rehash of the first three Expendables films.

Slow Start

The film has some pacing issues. It starts off slow and takes its time to get going.

Mixed Bag

Overall, Expendables 4 is a mixed bag of a film. It is a fun and action-packed ride with some truly impressive set pieces. However, the film is also quite predictable and derivative, and it does little to stand out from its predecessors.

Rating: 3/5 Stars

If you are a fan of the Expendables franchise, then you will likely enjoy the film. However, if you are looking for something original or thought-provoking, then you should look elsewhere.

Expendables 4: A Fitting End?

Expendables 4 is a fitting end to the franchise, with plenty of action, humor, and nostalgia for fans. However, the film's predictability and lack of originality may leave some viewers feeling disappointed.
